Caminar el monte de San Anton

Zondag 26/01/2020 21ยฐC

San Anton is a mountain a little outside the city with the highest top in the east of 507 m

The mountain lies one hour and fifteen minutes away from my house, so together with a friend and the sun we started walking to the mountain.

From the moment the real hiking trail started we could already see the light blue sea. We walked further to the first viewpoint where we could see the sea and the city. Most people wear hiking shoes BUT I’m not most people so I wans’t smart enough to bring my hiking shoes, that means I had to do it with regular sport shoes.

Which didn’t make it easier because the higher we got the more the path changed into a lot of loose stones so you could slip very easily. Aside from that I couldn’t complain, it was warm, and I was completely surrounded by nature. For the way down we did it slowly and with little breaks eventually we made it back down without any injuries.

Because I still have some trouble with my knee and the shoes, we decided not to go all the way to the top. I’m still glad I did it, it was hard but so worth it.

Miradores de la montaรฑa

Ronda and the Senitils de las bodegas

Saturday 11\01\2020.

We had to gather together at Bar Centro at 8:45. Which is not that bad considering that it’s right outside our gates ๐Ÿ˜‰. There we took the bus to Ronda which is a 1h30 drive. The second we drove out of the city we were constantly surrounded by the mountains and fields full of tangerines.

Ronda

Once we arrived at Ronda we had to walk a little before we where in the center. The first thing we saw was this bridge, where you could take photos of the nature

From there we did a little tour of the city, which involved a lot of going up and down the road. So not only did we see the sights of the city, we also got a leg exercise for free ๐Ÿ™‚

after the tour in Ronda, we went to see the Senitils de las bodegas, Which is a little city under mountains. Here you can find bars and little shops, it’s a nice place to stop to take a quick break.

Monday 06/01

On 06/01 the Spanish people celebrate
'La fiesta de Los tres Reyes', that means I didn't have any classes for today.
EF however did plan to go to the center but that wasn't until 3pm.
Because I had time, I went to explore the neighborhood. The one thing that I've noticed is that they have a lot of tangerine trees.
The trees are just for decoration

trip to the city center

We went to see the cathedral of Malaga also called ‘La Manquita’ which means the one -armed lady because the cathedral has only one tower, we passed the Picasso museum and went to see the ‘Alcazaba de Malaga’.

After we did the tour we went to eat churros con chocolate, and then we had to wait until 6:15pm for the holiday decorations to lit up. Unfortunately it was very cold.

It was a good first day,

on to the next one…
